Customer is responsible for stolen or vandalized tote carts. Carts should be pulled in after pickup.
What does it include?
- Tote carts (trash/waste & recycle) and bins
- Once a week pick up
- 6-month minimum contract
- Pick up on ALL holidays
How/where/when do I place my tote carts?
- Close to road with lid opening toward the road
- Distance between each cart and from any obstacle: 3-4 ft.
- Tote carts should be out for pickup by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day
What is considered ‘overloaded’?
- If the lid does not close, it is over loaded and may not be picked up
- Please call office to arrange for a special pick-up
Trash/waste tote carts
Sizes of objects: Anything longer than the tote cart must be cut into 2’-3’ sections so that nothing will become lodged when emptying.
Do not put these items in trash/waste tote carts
- Mattresses
- Hot ashes or coals
- Dirt, sod
- Wood & tree stumps
- Construction, remodeling or demolition debris
- Concrete or rocks
- Any highly flammable materials:
– Oil, gas, paint
– Propane tanks - Any hazardous materials:
– Televisions, computer monitors & large appliances
– Car batteries
– Tires
– Pool Chemicals
– Pesticides
– Dead animals
Recycle tote carts
Sizes of objects: Anything longer than the tote cart must be cut into 2’-3’ sections so that nothing will become lodged when emptying.
Items that can be put in recycle tote carts:
- Aluminum
- Paper products: catalogs/magazines, newspapers,
computer, ledger, office, construction, colored paper,
junk mail, envelopes, paper grocery store bags - Cardboard must be cut up/broken down
- Chipboard i.e., cereal, shoe or soap boxes
- Plastics (soap or fabric softener containers)
- Bottles (clear or green soda & water bottles), steel or
tin cans
Do not put these items in recycle tote carts
- Wet garbage, food
- Styrofoam
- Plant products: leaves, cut flowers, dead plants, house plants, grass clippings, weeds, brush/shrubs, etc.
- Fabric products: clothes, blankets, carpets, umbrellas
- Wood
- Dirt
- Tarps
- Tires
- Plastic toys
- Oil or filters
- Diapers
- Pet hair or pet food bags
- Electronics: appliances
